Milky Way and Cabin
This might be one of my very first Milky Way shots—or at least an early one—from the incredible dark skies of Island Park, Idaho. (One of the best spots in the state for stargazing—minimal light pollution and pure magic overhead!)
Compared to my more recent work, it's not quite as polished, but I'm still really proud of it. Since then, I've poured tons of time into research, experimentation, upgraded some gear, and learned new editing techniques in Lightroom and Photoshop (those AI tools are game-changers!).
Here are two views from that night: the classic Milky Way capture, and then I spun around because the foreground scene behind me was just too beautiful to ignore. I went back to the originals recently and applied some of what I've learned to give them a fresh polish.
Progress feels good. What's your favorite dark sky spot for Milky Way hunting?
