Our epic Boston adventure included a thrilling whale-watching cruise! We spotted a few majestic whales gliding through the waves, but alas, no jaw-dropping breaches to blow our minds. (Did you know humpback whales—common in these waters—sing complex songs that can travel for miles and even evolve like cultural trends among pods? Pretty mind-blowing!) A playful pod of dolphins that hadn't shown up in these waters for a whopping 5 months—talk about a rare treat! Fun fact: Whales are actually more closely related to hippos and deer than to fish, despite their ocean lifestyle.
