Panoramas
I’ve been shooting panoramas for a long time—they’re some of my favorite images to capture and edit. Here are a couple I took a while back. I first got to know this area while riding my bike through it and loved it so much that I came back specifically to photograph it. I’ve also shot the Milky Way from here, though I have no idea what happened to those photos. Guess I’ll have to go do it again—stand by! If you’d like to come with me let me know and we will see what we can work out.
The photo on the left was taken from Big Mountain, looking southwest toward Salt Lake City. It’s a stitch of about four images—click on it to see the full panorama. Both shots were taken in the evening during golden hour.
The one on the right was taken near East Canyon Dam. There’s a lot of red rock in the area, and the golden-hour light really brings out those rich colors.
