Shooting the Moon II
There was a partial lunar eclipse last night—partial where I live, anyway. Depending on your location it was a full eclipse.
I’d been looking forward to photographing it for weeks. The forecasts looked promising, so I spent the day prepping gear, swapping batteries, and double-checking everything. As the afternoon wore on, though, the sky kept getting cloudier. Still, after all that effort I wasn’t about to stay home.
I got to my pre-scouted spot around 7:00 and was fully set up by 7:30. I shot the cloudy sky and landscape while I waited, but the cloud cover was thick enough that I never even saw the sunset.
I did manage to grab a few frames of the moon through the gaps. I’m still working on them, but I’ve posted one here for you.
